Sámara - Is Sámara the black hole of happiness? That's what more than one expat has said after stopping here on vacation and never leaving. On the surface it's just a laid-back beach town with barefoot, three-star appeal. The crescent-shaped strip of pale-gray sand spans two rocky headlands, where the sea is calm and beautiful. Not surprisingly, it’s popular with vacationing Ticos, foreign families and backpackers, a somewhat rare, happy mix of visitors and locals. But be careful, the longer you stay the less you'll want to leave.

Juan Santamaria Airport ǀ Sámara
Duration: 3h 40 min, depending on the type of transfer and traffic
A multitude of transportation providers can pick you up at Juan Santamaria Airport and take you safely to Sámara.
Along with the immediate confirmation of the booking, one day before the booked transfer, you will also receive a reminder from Shuttle Planet containing the booking summary. At any time, even before the booking you can communicate with any transport service provider through our messaging system, and should you choose to book a ride, you will be sent specific contact details (Phone number & e-mail) of the company/driver providing the service.
When you arrive at the pick-up location the driver will introduce himself and check if all the passengers who have booked the transport are present, or you might have to go to a nearby pick-up location, which is usually already pointed out in the pick-up address of the ride itself. The drivers will also take care of all your luggage and make sure it is safely stored in the back compartment of the vehicle. After all the passengers are safely and comfortably seated the ride can begin.
Upon your arrival to Sámara or any of the stops along the way, depending on the type of transfer you booked the drop off will be either in the town centre or at the address you specified.

Scheduled a shared ride to Bath and got a door to door service for half the price of a cab ride. Shared the ride with a couple. I usually prefer to travel alone, but it was cheaper and took 7 minutes longer.
